Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Resident Services Coordinator to join our team and enhance the quality of life for residents within our community. This vital role involves providing comprehensive support, connecting residents to essential social services, and fostering a welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, a passion for social work, and experience working with diverse populations, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and culturally varied communities. Your energetic approach will help create a vibrant, supportive atmosphere where residents feel valued and empowered. Duties Serve as the primary point of contact for residents, addressing their needs and concerns with enthusiasm and professionalism Coordinate access to social services such as Medicaid, Medicare, Section 8 housing assistance, and workforce development programs Conduct crisis intervention and crisis management to support residents facing urgent challenges or emergencies Provide addiction counseling, behavioral health support, and motivational interviewing to promote well-being and recovery Identify resources within social services networks to assist residents in achieving stability and independence Support residents with case management activities, including documentation, goal setting, and progress tracking Assist in supervising childcare programs or mentoring initiatives aimed at fostering community engagement Facilitate communication between residents and external agencies while maintaining clear, compassionate client communication Implement first aid and CPR when necessary to ensure safety during emergencies Promote inclusive practices by working effectively with culturally diverse communities and individuals with disabilities Experience Proven experience working in social services, case management, or related fields with a focus on behavioral health or social work Demonstrated ability to handle crisis situations through crisis intervention and crisis management techniques Experience working with seniors, geriatric patients, or individuals with disabilities is highly preferred Bilingual skills are a strong plus to serve diverse populations effectively Supervisory experience or mentoring roles that showcase leadership capabilities in community settings Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, Section 8 housing programs, and workforce development initiatives is desirable Strong writing skills for documentation purposes along with excellent client communication abilities Familiarity with social service resources identification and referral processes Join us in making a meaningful difference in residents' lives!
