Executive Director of Camping Services
Job Description
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Merrimack Valley YMCA owns and operates three camps in the state of New Hampshire, YMCA Camp Lawrence for boys (overnight), YMCA Camp Nokomis for girls (overnight), and YMCA Camp Otter (day coed). The Executive Director ensures successful operation of the Camping Services Branch of the Merrimack Valley YMCA, including program development, volunteer recruitment, staff supervision, facility maintenance, risk management, philanthropy, alumni and community relations, collaborations, budgeting, and financial results.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in human services, social services, business or equivalent. 2. Eight or more years of management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency. 3. Knowledge and experience in all aspects of operations, including staff supervision and development, l membership practices, program development and implementation, volunteerism, facility and property management and financial practices. 4. Understanding of the nature and purpose of the YMCA and the respective roles of volunteers and staff 5. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community. 6. Proven track record of developing authentic constructive relationships with others. 7. Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations. 8. YMCA Organizational Leader certification preferred. 9. CPR and First Aid certifications may be required.Benefits
