Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Day Hab Manager to oversee day habilitation services for individuals with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in social services, program development, and team management, with a passion for empowering underserved communities. As the Day Hab Manager, you will lead the planning, coordination, and supervision of daily activities designed to promote independence, social skills, and overall well-being for participants. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact through leadership in social services administration while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and fostering a supportive environment. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging day habilitation programs tailored to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities. Supervise and mentor social service program staff, including direct oversight of team members involved in participant care and activity planning. Manage program operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and ensuring adherence to organizational policies and regulatory requirements. Cultivate positive relationships with participants, families, community partners, and service providers to enhance service delivery and community integration. Oversee administrative functions such as budgeting, documentation, compliance reporting, and maintaining accurate client records using Microsoft Office tools. Lead staff training initiatives focused on behavioral health best practices, client communication, and cultural competency—especially working with underserved populations. Monitor program quality through ongoing evaluation and implement improvements to maximize participant outcomes and satisfaction. Qualifications Extensive experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs within social services or related fields. Proven supervisory experience in managing social service staff or programs, demonstrating leadership in social services administration. Strong relationship management skills to foster collaboration among team members, clients, families, and community partners. Administrative proficiency with Microsoft Office applications for documentation, reporting, and communication purposes. Demonstrated ability to develop programs that meet regulatory standards while addressing the unique needs of underserved communities. Bilingual skills are highly desirable to effectively serve diverse populations. Knowledge of budgeting processes, compliance regulations, and program management principles within social services settings. Excellent writing skills for report preparation, client communication, and documentation of program activities.
