Job Description
Sexual Assault & Anti-Human Trafficking Services YWCA Carlisle & Cumberland County is seeking a Direct Services Supervisor (DSS) to provide leadership and oversight for our Sexual Assault & Anti-Human Trafficking (SA-AHT) direct services in Cumberland County. This is a full-time leadership position for someone who brings both counseling experience and strong supervisory skills and is passionate about ensuring survivors receive trauma-informed, empowerment-based, and culturally responsive services. The Direct Services Supervisor serves as the on-site supervisor for Cumberland County Direct Services and is part of the agency's Direct Services Management Team. This position supervises Counselor/Advocates, volunteers, and direct services interns; provides case management supervision; oversees counseling and advocacy assignments; and works closely with the Vice President of Programs to ensure consistent, high-quality services. The DSS also represents YWCA within the community, strengthening partnerships with hospitals, law enforcement, the District Attorney's Office, Children's Advocacy Center, Children & Youth, and other community systems serving survivors. What You'll Do Supervision & Team Leadership Supervise, mentor, and support direct service staff, volunteers, and interns. Provide case management supervision and assign counseling caseloads, hotline coverage, and accompaniments. Provide ongoing professional development, coaching, and performance evaluations for direct service staff. Assist with training and onboarding new staff, volunteers, and interns. Support a collaborative team culture centered on YWCA's mission, racial justice, empowerment, and survivor-centered practice. Direct Services & Quality Assurance Oversee the delivery of Sexual Assault & Anti-Human Trafficking support services throughout Cumberland County. Provide direct counseling, crisis intervention, advocacy, and other survivor services as needed. Ensure services are trauma-informed, empowerment-based, culturally responsive, and accessible. Maintain quality assurance of client records and ETO documentation, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with PCAR, PCCD, VOCA, STOP, and agency requirements. Help ensure 24/7 access to crisis response and advocacy services. Community Partnerships & Systems Coordination Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, including healthcare systems, law enforcement, the District Attorney's Office, Children & Youth, the Children's Advocacy Center, and other victim-serving organizations. Represent YWCA on multidisciplinary teams, task forces, grant teams, and community initiatives. Collaborate with agency leadership and the Adams County Direct Services Supervisor to promote consistency and shared learning across counties. Conduct community outreach and presentations to increase awareness of services and strengthen referral pathways. Program Leadership Work with the Vice President of Programs to implement and strengthen SA-AHT direct services. Support strategic planning initiatives related to survivor services. Monitor service delivery and program metrics to ensure grant deliverables and partner requirements are met. Remain current on emerging practices related to sexual violence, human trafficking, counseling, advocacy, and survivor-centered services. Participate in ongoing leadership and professional development. Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling required. Counseling experience required. Previous supervision experience required. LSW, LPC, or LCSW welcomed, but licensure is not required. Knowledge of trauma-informed and culturally responsive advocacy models. Strong communication, organization, leadership, and relationship-building skills. Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with community partners. Commitment to providing services that facilitate survivor healing and empowerment. Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License and reliable transportation for regular travel throughout Cumberland County. Ability to obtain and maintain required Criminal, Child Abuse, FBI, and National Sex Offender Registry clearances. Basic proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office, or ability to learn agency systems. Commitment to the YWCA mission. Must complete 40 hours of Sexual Assault Counselor Training during the new-hire probationary period.
