Team Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the position of Volunteer Coordinator (Limited-Term Agreement•) . The Volunteer Coordinator reports to the Community Resource Manager . The primary functions of this position include: Coordinating the town-wide volunteer program, overseeing onboarding, tracking, and recognition for volunteers across boards and commissions, Parks & Recreation, Community Resources, and other departments, while partnering with Fire and Police, who administer separate volunteer programs. Planning and leading community engagement events, from food drives and day-of-service initiatives to volunteer recognition celebrations Developing and maintaining community resource materials that connect residents with the services they need Building and sustaining partnerships with nonprofit organizations and service groups to expand volunteer opportunities For a full list of duties, please review the job description . This is a limited-term position. •Limited -Term means that the position is funded through the FY2027 year and will require council approval to continue the role either as an LTA or as a Full-Time permanent position in the FY28 year, starting on July 1, 2027.

You communicate confidently with everyone from first-time volunteers to Town Council members, and you find real satisfaction in connecting neighbors with resources that make a difference in their lives. In addition to possessing the ability to live out our core and functional values daily, candidates must possess the following requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business or Public Administration, Social or Human Services, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field 3 or more years of experience in volunteer program management, community engagement, nonprofit coordination, event coordination, or related functions Public sector experience in human services programs, community outreach, project coordination, or contract administration preferred Certified Volunteer Administrator (CVA) designation preferred This position requires a pre-employment background check. This position has been designated as a light work position that spends a majority of their workday in an office environment, with periodic time at community events and partner locations.
