Our mission is to provide training & support necessary for those who participate in the services to achieve their social, recreational, vocational & residential goals.
Position Purpose :
To provide vocational and/or skills training to persons with developmental disabilities.
DSP Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist client in selecting realistic goals and objectives.
  • Assess, evaluate, implement and chart client's progress on goals and objectives.
  • Pick-up and drop-off clients according to written schedules.
  • Record data and maintain field books.
  • Provide constant supervision to clients.
  • Participate in clients' planning team to develop goals, objectives and natural supports.
  • Our care giver must be a Mandated Abuse Reporter

Jeannette Martinez, Program Director Education and Work Experience:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. Familiarity with developmental disabilities; an understanding of the philosophy of community-based and work programs; awareness of principles of normalization and development; effective writing skills and ability to chart data, to track client progress and generate reports in an accurate and timely manner; ability to deal effectively with staff, clients and outside community. Must be able to read, write and speak English.
Driving and License Requirements :
Must have a valid California Driver's license and good driving record. May require the ability to operate a nine (9) passenger van.
Additional Requirements :
Must obtain and maintain First Aid/CPR certification. Must be able to pass a post-job offer job-related physical exam, to include a negative TB test. The ability to pass a drug screening prior to hire; and randomly thereafter.
Criminal Record Clearance :
Must obtain and maintain Department of Justice/FBI fingerprint clearance.
