Become a member of the recreation department as a youth sports coach or official and make sure your community has plenty of outlets for healthy, fun, and educational activities. The Community Services Department has multiple opportunities available, which are classified as at-will, hourly/part-time positions with no benefits provided. Hourly/part-time positions average 20 hours per week and less than 1,000 hours in a twelve (12) month period. Work Hours Work hours will be approximately 15-20 hours per week. Work hours will generally be Monday through Friday from 2:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Weekend and evening shifts may be required. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Any combination equivalent to experience and training that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills and abilities would be: High school graduate or GED equivalency required. One (1) year of paid or volunteer experience or a combination of both in a recreational field or sports setting. College students in fields of Kinesiology, Physical Education, Sports Medicine, Exercise Science and Nutrition are strongly encouraged to apply. Must possess and maintain a valid California Class "C" driver's license.
