The AmeriCorps Partnership is recruiting members to support homeless services programming in Santa Barbara City at The Public Defender's Office. Roles are Full Time national service contract positions that last one year, renewable up to four times.

Job Type :

Full-time, 1-Year Contract from September 2026 through August 2027 Roles and responsibilities of members include: Connecting clients to benefits such as Cal fresh, General Relief, Social Security, etc. Connecting clients to outpatient and mental health services Transporting clients to appointments Assisting clients in getting into shelters and transitional housing. Seeking resources to assist clients with their needs. Building rapport with other agencies and providers in collaborating to assist client's need as a team. Advocating for clients in court while also connecting clients to benefits and resources. Tabling community events
