Position Summary Under the supervision of the Neighborhood Services Supervisor, the Neighborhood Services Officer performs professional code compliance and neighborhood services work focused on maintaining safe, attractive, and well-maintained properties and neighborhoods throughout the Town. The position investigates Municipal Code and Land Use Code violations, conducts proactive inspections, educates residents and property owners, and manages assigned cases from initial identification through voluntary compliance, formal enforcement, abatement, or court action as appropriate. The Neighborhood Services Officer exercises independent judgment in applying Town regulations, resolving complex or sensitive concerns, and coordinating with Planning, Building, Police, Public Works, Parks, and other departments. The position emphasizes consistent and equitable enforcement, responsive customer service, community problem-solving, and timely resolution of neighborhood quality-of-life concerns.
