Volunteer Coordinator (Part Time)

Willowbrook Hospice is seeking a compassionate and organized Volunteer Coordinator (Part Time) to join our team in Winder, Georgia. Responsibilities:

Recruit, train, and manage a team of volunteers who provide emotional support, companionship, and practical assistance to our patients and families Develop and implement strategies to engage volunteers and ensure their effective utilization in our programs and services Coordinate volunteer schedules, assignments, and communication to ensure seamless service delivery Collaborate with our multidisciplinary care team to identify volunteer opportunities that meet patient needs and enhance the overall care experience Provide ongoing support and supervision to volunteers, ensuring they feel valued and appreciated Maintain accurate records and reports on volunteer hours, participation, and feedback Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance volunteer program effectiveness and patient satisfaction

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (human services, social work, or nursing) preferred Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team Compassionate and empathetic approach to working with patients, families, and volunteers Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Familiarity with hospice care and volunteer management preferred

Work Environment:
