Hospice Volunteer Coordinator - Part-Time Connect Compassionate People with Meaningful Purpose Hospice of Eastern Idaho is the region's only community-based nonprofit hospice, dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals and families throughout Eastern Idaho.

Compassionate Care As It Should Be. We are looking for a passionate, people-focused Hospice Volunteer Coordinator to lead and grow our volunteer program. This part-time role is ideal for someone who understands the heart of hospice, loves connecting with people, and wants to make a meaningful difference in our community. Previous hospice experience is strongly preferred. What You'll Do Recruit, interview, train, and support hospice volunteers Thoughtfully match volunteers with patients and families based on needs, interests, and personalities Provide education on hospice philosophy, communication, boundaries, grief, and compassionate end-of-life support Maintain volunteer records and ensure hospice volunteer requirements are met Build a welcoming volunteer culture through ongoing communication, support, and recognition Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to identify volunteer needs Develop community relationships and promote volunteer opportunities through outreach, events, and social media Assist with fundraising events, community activities, and special projects Who We're Looking For Our ideal candidate is compassionate, outgoing, organized, dependable, and genuinely passionate about hospice and serving others. We are looking for someone with: Previous hospice experience strongly preferred Experience working with or coordinating volunteers An understanding of hospice philosophy and end-of-life care Strong communication and relationship-building skills Excellent organization and attention to detail Confidence engaging with volunteers, patients, families, and community partners A positive, collaborative, and team-focused approach Why Join Us?
