Contract Opportunity | CITIED Foundation CITIED Foundation is seeking an experienced Youth Engagement & Media Facilitator to support the annual RISE Teen Summit, a community-based event designed to create meaningful conversations around mental wellness, identity, leadership, social justice, personal development, and issues impacting today's youth. This is a 1 Day Job taking place on September 12, 2026. This contracted role combines youth facilitation, live podcast moderation, community storytelling, and videography/media production . We are seeking a dynamic professional who can authentically connect with teens while helping capture and amplify the voices and experiences represented at the Summit. Scope of Services The selected contractor will: Co-facilitate interactive youth workshops and discussions during the RISE Teen Summit Engage youth in conversations related to identity, mental wellness, leadership, social justice, community issues, and personal development Lead/moderate a live youth-centered podcast conversation during the event Create an environment that encourages authentic youth participation and discussion Provide event-day videography and capture key Summit activities and experiences Produce a post-event promotional/highlight video using footage captured during the Summit Collaborate with CITIED Foundation staff before the event regarding programming, messaging, and media needs Preferred Qualifications Ideal candidates will demonstrate: Significant experience working directly with adolescents and young adults Experience facilitating meaningful conversations with youth from diverse backgrounds Demonstrated knowledge of social justice, identity, community wellness, youth development, or related issues Ability to use culturally responsive and trauma-informed approaches when engaging youth Strong public speaking, interviewing, storytelling, and group facilitation skills Experience facilitating or hosting podcasts, interviews, panels, or similar live conversations Experience with videography and production of professional promotional or storytelling content Ability to build rapport with youth and create space for honest, challenging, and developmentally appropriate conversations Experience with community-based organizations, youth-serving organizations, schools, or youth-centered events preferred Candidates located outside of the Rockford area are welcome to submit proposals. Deliverables The contracted scope is expected to include: Pre-event planning/coordination with CITIED Foundation Event-day youth workshop co-facilitation Live podcast facilitation/moderation Event videography Edited promotional/highlight video following the event Proposal Requirements Interested candidates should submit: Resume or professional biography Brief description of relevant youth engagement and facilitation experience Examples of relevant videography/media work, when available Description of podcast, interviewing, public speaking, or moderation experience Proposed approach to engaging diverse youth around challenging or socially relevant topics Proposed fee for the complete scope of services Any anticipated travel expenses or other costs Professional references, if available Evaluation Proposals will be evaluated based on: Relevant youth engagement and facilitation experience Experience with culturally responsive youth programming Relevant social justice, identity, mental wellness, or community-based experience Podcast/moderation and communication experience Videography and media-production experience Demonstrated quality of previous work Ability to fulfill the complete scope of services Proposed cost and overall value
