Job Description

Job Overview Modern Hospice is seeking a passionate and dynamic Hospice Volunteer Coordinator to lead our volunteer engagement efforts within our hospice care program. In this vital role, you will oversee the recruitment, training, supervision, and retention of compassionate volunteers who provide essential support to patients and their families. Your leadership will foster a welcoming community environment, ensuring volunteers are empowered to deliver meaningful care and companionship. Duties Recruit, interview, and onboard new volunteers through targeted outreach, including campus recruitment strategies and community engagement initiatives. Develop and implement comprehensive training programs utilizing tools like Salesforce, Raiser's Edge, and Microsoft Office to ensure volunteers are well-prepared for their roles. Supervise and support volunteers by providing ongoing coaching, recognition, and development opportunities to enhance volunteer engagement and retention. Coordinate volunteer schedules, assignments, and activities to meet the needs of patients and families while maintaining efficient database management records. Organize community outreach events and social media campaigns to promote volunteer programs and foster community involvement across culturally diverse populations. Facilitate regular team meetings, public speaking engagements, and training sessions to strengthen team management skills and promote a collaborative work environment. Monitor program effectiveness through data analysis and feedback collection, continuously improving volunteer management practices. Requirements Proven experience in volunteer coordination or management within healthcare or social service settings; supervisory experience is highly valued. Strong organizational skills with proficiency in Salesforce, Raiser's Edge, Microsoft Office Suite, and social media management tools. Excellent written communication skills for creating training materials, reports, and outreach content. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with culturally diverse communities and bilingual capabilities are preferred. Experience in campus recruitment, community engagement, or social work is advantageous. Exceptional public speaking skills with the ability to lead training sessions and represent the organization at community events. Strong project management abilities with a focus on volunteer engagement program development and team leadership. Pay:
$20.00 - $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
