JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for planning, coordinating and managing all volunteer program activities in the organization
Schedule:
Part-Time, 24 hours/week
Salary:
Starting $24/hr Reports to: Executive Director
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain volunteer training and orientation program. Recruits, educates and selects volunteers from at least 3 recruitment sessions per year. Establish a need for volunteer services with the patient and family/caregiver and entire hospice team. Supervise and evaluate volunteers in a timely and appropriate manner. Maintains monthly statistics. Maintains current personnel files. Re-evaluate volunteer program as necessary. Coordinate support/education meetings. Attends interdisciplinary group meetings. Provides information to individuals and community groups about hospice volunteer services. Participates as needed in the budget preparation for program development. Actively participates in quality assessment performance improvement teams and activities. Accepts and performs other related duties and responsibilities. Applies "5 Star" customer service approach in all aspects of job. Committed to working with residents and families to develop and implement strategies that promote person-centered care. Actively supports Wingate's commitment to providing "5 Star" service on all quality objectives, with an emphasis on continual improvement. Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct. Reports to the appropriate managers any known or suspected violations of policy and procedures, regulations or standards of conduct. Performs additional duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum two years' experience in a healthcare / hospice setting preferred Must be able to supervise, coordinate, and evaluate volunteer services and events Works well in a team setting Must understand hospice philosophy Must be organized and able to develop volunteer hospice personnel to meet patient and organizational needs Must be able to manage a group of individuals
Requirements:
College Degree required or Advanced Degree in Human Services preferred. Minimum two years experience in a healthcare / hospice setting preferred. Must be able to supervise, coordinate, and evaluate volunteer services. Must understand hospice philosophy. Must be organized and able to develop volunteer hospice personnel to meet patient and organizational needs. Must be able to manage a roup of individuals.
Compensation:
Starting at $24/hr
