Responsibilities of the Peer Support Specialist with the ACT Team Provide client-centered case management & psychiatric rehabilitation services to clients of the ACT team Act as a positive role model for individuals Provide life skills training, behavior management, health management, crisis intervention, and support to clients to take medication as prescribed Maintain a caseload, attend client meetings on time & prepared, and complete all documentation in a timely fashion Qualifications of the Peer Support Specialist with the ACT Team Associates Degree-Bachelor's Degree preferred 1-2 years experience working with adults diagnosed with mental health and/or co-occurring substance use disorders preferred. Personal History as Consumer of Behavioral Health Services. Possession of a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record (as determined by HR) required. Must have access to a personal vehicle and be willing to use it for work purposes. Maybe required to transport clients in personal vehicle. Certificate of completion from Maryland State approved peer support service training program preferred.
