POSITION SUMMARY
The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services, Public Health Services Maternal and Child Health Bureau of Behavioral Health (MCH-BBH), is seeking a Human Services Specialist IV to support the Babies Born Healthy Program through administrative support, client coordination, and community outreach. This is a full-time, onsite, temporary position with potential to renew, located in Silver Spring, MD. The hourly rate is $26.00/hr.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Enter client applications accurately into the BBH database and Excel tracking spreadsheets; input client demographic information into the MCH logbook, database, and Electronic Health Record (EHR); maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in accordance with agency policies and confidentiality standards; prepare and submit Urgent Referrals for supervisor review and follow-up Provide information at WIC offices and other provider locations Schedule client appointments and provide follow-up communication as needed; provide health education to clients via phone and in-person interactions; provide program information and make referrals to community partners Assemble and prepare BBH and related program information packets for distribution Attend staff meetings and accurately document and distribute meeting minutes Support special projects and other duties as assigned to ensure smooth program operations
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Two years of experience in a health care, social services, public health, or maternal/child health setting Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Ability to prioritize, plan, and manage multiple tasks and competing demands
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma required Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a health care, social services, public health, or maternal/child health setting required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Standard work hours Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:30 PM (evenings/weekends may be required) Travel required to WIC offices and other provider locations Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds
