Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Intervention Specialist to join our Runaway and Homeless Youth Basic Center Team in supervising and assisting clients within a structured residential short term program. Intervention Specialists facilitate life skills and recreational activities, assist clients (ages 9-17) and families with conflict resolution and crisis management, answer and assist callers on the 24/7 crisis line, perform phone and in-person assessments on prospective clients, complete daily client behavior and observation documentation as well as all other required documentation. Intervention Specialists assist with building upkeep, meal preparation, and cleanliness, with opportunities to participate in community outreach and fundraising. The Harbor is open 24/7, 365 days a year. Shifts are typically 8am-4pm, 4pm-12am, and 12am-8am. Employees will work a flexible schedule including afternoons, occasional midnight and weekend day shifts. Employees will share covering weekends and holidays. Schedule is posted one month at a time, approximately two weeks before each month begins. This position allows up to 60 hours in a two week pay period. Earn PTO, 403B, with a 10% match and shift differential for off shifts. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, driver's license, negative TB test results, three satisfactory professional reference checks, and proficient written and verbal communication skills. Applicants must pass criminal and child abuse/neglect background checks. Interested individuals must be able to multi-task, work well under pressure and be able to deal with crisis situations.
