Job Summary The overall purpose of this job is to provide supervision and trauma-informed care to the residents, promote the well-being and continued development of those residents; provide related support to their families and legal guardians; coordinate with Agency staff and individuals from other agencies/community programs involved in providing care and services to the residents; support, maintain, and meet the Agency mission and vision; and assist the Agency with adhering to best practices, state and federal laws, Agency policies and procedures, and accreditation standards. This is a 7 days on, 7 days off, weekly rotating position where staying at the home in your own quarters is required for your shift. It is not an overnight awake position. Responsibilities Provide supervision, leadership, and positive role modeling for youth in a residential home setting Maintain a safe, stable, and supportive living environment for residents Support youth in developing life skills including cooking, cleaning, hygiene, time management, and money management Provide guidance and counseling related to behavior, communication, and social skills Monitor resident progress and support goals outlined in individual Plans of Care Prepare meals and assist residents with meal planning, grocery shopping, and food preparation Transport residents to school, appointments, work, and community activities as needed Administer medications and assist with coordinating medical and dental appointments according to agency policies Encourage academic success by supporting homework completion and communication with schools when needed Maintain accurate documentation and communicate resident updates with program staff Participate in team meetings and collaborate with case managers and supervisors Experience High school diploma or GED required (Associate or Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or related field preferred) Experience working with youth or in a residential care setting preferred Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to pass background checks and required screenings Ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations Strong communication and teamwork skills
