  • Full-Time, Part-Time and Per Diem Opportunities Hawthorne Supervised Apartments New Jersey Community Development Corporation New Jersey Community Development Corporation is a multi-faceted community development and social service agency providing opportunities to transform lives in Passaic County.
Hawthorne Supervised Apartments is a 24-hour supervised apartment program for adults with developmental disabilities. We are seeking dynamic individuals to serve as Residence Counselors.
The responsibilities include:
  • Carrying out residence's program plan developed in connection with resident's goals, objectives and individual needs and preferences
  • Ensuring the health and safety of residents
  • Providing assistance to residents in meeting goals and objectives
  • Properly maintaining program and consumer records Prospective applicants must have BA in human services with one to three years of experience or a high school diploma with two to three years of experience in the human services field; good organizational skills; the ability to multi-task and the ability to work effectively as a member of a team; good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and a valid, clean NJ driver's license.

If you do not have a bachelor's degree, do you have at least 2-3 years of experience in the human services field? Do you have experience working with adults with development disabilities? Are you available to work full-time, part-time, or per-diem? Do you have a valid and clean NJ driver license? Are you comfortable assisting residence with daily activities, goal setting and, safety monitoring? Are you able to work evening, weekend, or holiday shifts as needed?
