Join our team in supporting our mission to alleviate hunger and cultivate long-term food security. Rio Grande Food Project is looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to join our small, passionate team. Volunteers are at the heart of what we do. Every week, they help us provide nutritious groceries, connect community members with resources, tend our urban garden, and create a welcoming, dignified experience for the people we serve. The Volunteer Coordinator plays a key role in bringing those people together - recruiting and scheduling volunteers, building relationships, creating a positive volunteer experience, and helping our team make the most of this incredible community support. You'll be part of a close-knit team, have the opportunity to make a visible difference in our community, and help shape the volunteer program as RGFP continues to grow. The person hired for this position will have health benefits and is also eligible for certain paid time off. The position requires thirty hours of work per week. Occasional attendance at volunteer group projects, appreciation events, orientations, or other RGFP activities outside regular hours (evenings and weekends) may be required. The hourly wage for the position is between $20.75 and $25.95 dependent on experience.
