Salary:

$40,000.00 annually Are you a person with lived experience of substance use disorder? Are you an Ohio Certified Peer Supporter? Do you have a passion for helping people? If so, we have a job for you! Catholic Charities is looking for Ohio Certified Peer Supporters to provide ongoing support to people with Substance Use Disorder. Summit County Catholic Charities Peer Supporters are engaged in new innovative First Step emergency department program. Our approach to recovery is strength-based and person centered focusing on tailoring to each individual person. We meet people where they are at through a variety of adaptive supports and programs.

Peer Support:

Use lived experience to connect with clients and work with them to help them identify a pathway to recovery. Support multiple pathways to recovery. Work to bridge gaps in crisis stabilization services. Assist clients with attending appointments and provide support to individuals as they navigate the early stages of recovery. Assist individuals access other recovery supports, such as transportation programs, pre-treatment and recovery housing, childcare, and employment opportunities. Provide support and advocacy to individuals involved with the criminal justice system. Assist with connecting individuals to resources in the community that will help overcome barriers to recovery

Requirements :

High school diploma or equivalent. Ohio Certified Peer Supporter Certification. Valid Ohio driver's license. Must have own vehicle, insurance and a willingness to transport clients. Must have excellent interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
