Work at our Orrville, Creston, Rittman, or Triway Location (Wooster) Duties Plan, organize, and facilitate a variety of youth group activities, including sports, arts, theater, outdoor adventures, and educational programs that promote childhood development. Supervise children and adolescents during daily activities, ensuring safety and adherence to program guidelines using effective child supervision techniques. Implement behavior management strategies to foster respectful interactions and positive social skills among participants. Maintain a safe environment by applying first aid protocols when necessary and operating AED (Automated External Defibrillator) equipment in emergencies. Collaborate with team members to develop tailored programs that meet the diverse needs of children with special education requirements or behavioral challenges. Engage with parents and guardians to provide updates on progress and address concerns related to child development or program participation. Uphold all safety standards by adhering to first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED operation procedures, and child care regulations at all times. Experience Prior experience working with children or adolescents in settings such as daycare centers, camps, youth programs, or tutoring environments. Demonstrated ability in classroom management, behavior management, and implementing engaging youth activities. Knowledge of childhood development principles and experience working with children with special needs or behavioral challenges is highly desirable. Certifications including First Aid, CPR, AED operation, and relevant youth development program credentials are preferred. Experience in outdoor work environments or sports coaching enhances your ability to lead active outdoor programs confidently. Proven team leadership skills with the capacity to motivate and guide youth while maintaining a positive atmosphere. Background in teaching young children or facilitating youth group activities through theater, sports coaching, or Christian counseling is advantageous.
