Job Description

Job Summary The Volunteer Coordinator helps to carry out the agencies mission by supporting patients and families through the organization of volunteer services. The Volunteer Coordinator assists in the development of the volunteer program and is responsible for planning, coordinating and managing all volunteer activities for Bella Care location in which they work. Responsibilities and Duties Volunteer Coordinator Specific Job Duties Develops and maintains volunteer recruitment, training and orientation program Assigns, supervises and evaluates all volunteers in a timely manner. Deploys volunteers to various volunteer activities (i.e., patient visits, office work, bereavement, etc.). Maintains monthly statistics. Completes Volunteer Personnel Checklist for each volunteer in coorperation with the HR Designee. Conducts retention activities for volunteers. Participates in Community Outreach i.e. regarding Hospice Volunteer Services Assists with evaluating quality assessment performance improvement (QAPI) plans and participates in QAPI teams and activities, as needed. Participates in Interdisciplinary team conferences and care conferences i.e. communicating information for volunteer patient encounters Maintains knowledge of fiscal and regulatory issues related to hospice services. Completes necessary Agency documentation on a timely basis and in line with Agency procedures. Follows agency policies and procedures. Supports the Agency's mission, vision and values. Performs related duties as assigned.
