Boys' Cottage Organization:
Murrow Indian Children's Home Muskogee, OK Organization Overview Murrow Indian Children's Home is a nonprofit, faith-based residential care facility serving children in tribal custody due to abuse or neglect. Founded as a mission of the American Baptist Churches, Murrow provides a structured, nurturing environment that supports children's emotional, cultural, and personal development. Position Summary Murrow Indian Children's Home is seeking a full-time, live-in two-adult caregiving team to serve as Houseparents for our Boys' Cottage. This role requires two adults who will jointly reside on campus and provide daily supervision, care, structure, and guidance for 8-10 children in a family-style residential setting. The position is designed for a long-term, co-residing team capable of providing stability, consistency, and shared responsibility in a residential environment. Essential Job Functions Provide a safe, structured, and nurturing living environment Supervise and care for 8-10 children in a residential cottage Establish and maintain consistent routines, boundaries, and expectations Participate in meals with children and model appropriate behavior Support children's emotional, social, cultural, and values-based development Ensure children attend required activities, including scheduled services and cultural events Maintain a stable and predictable environment within the cottage Provide leadership and guidance to assigned cottage support staff Communicate effectively with supervisors, staff, and service partners Comply with all licensing, safety, and organizational policies Training All required training is provided, including but not limited to: Trauma-Informed Care Medication Administration Managing Aggressive Behavior First Aid / CPR Prudent Parenting Food Handlers Certification Positive Indian Parenting Any additional training required by licensing or program standards Minimum Qualifications Two adults applying jointly and able to reside on-site as a shared caregiving team Minimum age: 25 Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record Ability to pass a fingerprint-based background check Ability to meet residential child care licensing requirements Ability to work a live-in schedule, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required Ability to support and model the organization's mission, values, and program expectations Ability to maintain a smoke-free environment while on duty and on campus Please include two resumes, one for each person applying.
