Minimum Qualifications Training and/or experience in crisis intervention. Ability to actively listen and communicate effectively. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, trauma-informed environment. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries. Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed to support 24/7 shelter operations. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Criminal Justice, or a related field. Experience working with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, or related trauma. Knowledge of community resources and referral agencies. Previous supervisory or leadership experience. Familiarity with victim advocacy, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed care. Essential Responsibilities Crisis Intervention & Client Services Answer crisis hotline and shelter calls. Provide crisis intervention, emotional support, information, referrals, and shelter information. Conduct danger assessments and safety planning by phone and in person. Complete intake screenings and admissions for prospective shelter residents. Provide advocacy, problem-solving, and ongoing support for shelter residents. Facilitate educational and support groups for shelter residents. Assist clients with obtaining community resources and services. Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential client documentation in accordance with agency and funding requirements. Shelter Operations Maintain the safety and security of the shelter, residents, visitors, volunteers, and staff. Assist with maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the shelter facility. Assist with ordering, purchasing, stocking, and organizing household supplies. Coordinate resident housekeeping and meal preparation schedules. Complete required shelter records, logs, inspections, and documentation. Participate in shift change communication to ensure continuity of care. Respond to emergencies and follow agency emergency procedures. Advocacy & Community Collaboration Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community agencies and professionals. Coordinate referrals and advocate for clients with community partners. Assist clients with navigating the legal system, including Victim Protective Orders (VPOs) and court accompaniment when appropriate. Represent the WRC at outreach events, community presentations, health fairs, informational tables, and activities designed to increase community awareness. Participate in agency meetings, trainings, supervision, and professional development opportunities. General Duties Participate in agency meetings, trainings, supervision, and professional development opportunities. Represent the Women's Resource Center professionally in the community. Follow all agency policies, procedures, ethical standards, and confidentiality requirements. Follow all health and safety procedures required by law. Comply with all standards and requirements established by the Oklahoma Office of the Attorney General and other funding sources. Provide coverage for other Shelter Advocates as needed to maintain 24-hour shelter operations. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
