Overview The Housing Navigator provides housing stability coordination and supportive services to individuals living with HIV, mental health conditions, and substance use disorders in Crook, Deschutes, and Jefferson Counties in Central Oregon. The position supports clients in accessing and maintaining safe, stable housing while promoting long-term wellness and independence. The Housing Navigator works collaboratively with clients and a multidisciplinary care team including care coordinators, behavioral health specialists, registered nurses, and the OHOP coordinator — to implement an Individualized Services and Support Plan (ISSP) and address barriers to housing stability through coordinated, person-centered services. Qualifications/Skills Bachelor of Social Work, or other related health or human service degree, or related experience for two years of full time (or equivalent), regardless of academic preparation. One-year experience working with marginalized, underserved populations . Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred. Knowledge of culturally relevant interventions for Spanish-speaking high-risk populations. Knowledge of local and statewide treatment and social service providers. Knowledge of the unique issues affecting high-risk communities and willingness to learn about culturally relevant interventions for gay and bisexual men, individuals who inject drugs, and individuals living with

HIV/AIDS.

Must have a valid Driver's License or access to transportation for meetings and events. Must be able to pass a criminal history background check. Skills In-depth knowledge of LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) properties, Section 8 programs, and landlord-tenant law. Strong negotiation skills to advocate effectively on behalf of clients with landlords and property managers. Experience in crisis management and crisis intervention techniques to support clients during urgent situations. Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations to ensure equitable access and prevent discrimination.
