Job Description
Private not-for-profit Drug & Alcohol program is seeking an experienced D&A Prevention Specialist for School based services in the Stroudsburg area. This is a full-time position, typical schedule Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm; only 38 weeks per year; 40 hours per week with the summers off. Candidate must possess minimum of BS/BA in Social/Human Services and have a minimum of 1-year Drug & Alcohol service experience. Public speaking skills and ability to relate to children, adolescents and community members one-on-one and/or small group settings a must. Requires valid driver's license and access to automobile, mostly local travel. Position provides D&A prevention and Student Assistance Program services working with students and staff in various local schools and with the public out in the community, which may require some evening/weekend work on occasion. Starting wage is $21.51. Position offers excellent benefit pkg incl. healthcare coverage, disability & life ins., paid trainings, holidays and other PTO & generous 401K plan.
