  • Part-time, Full-time The Life Enhancement Specialist position plans, coordinates and implements meaningful therapeutic and life skills activities with the clients they support.
The responsibilities of the Life Enhancement Specialist may include: Researches, plans, coordinates, and implements a client-centered activity program based on the therapeutic and recreational needs of the client. Addresses Life Skills and supports clients in some Instrumental Activities of Daily Living Works with Director of Operations and the IKOR Advocacy Team to arrange logistics for activities and events helping our clients improve their mobility and gain strength. Assesses client function/interest in various activities, being alert to changes and communicates changes to The Director of Social Services & Mental Health or IKOR Advocacy Team as Needed. Supports the Director of Social Services & Mental Health to develop innovative relationships with community resources, adult education, and the development of Life Skills for the clients assigned. On occasion may drive to and arrange for scheduled transportation to places of worship, shopping, medical appointments, and social outings. Attends client activity committee meetings Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Social Services & Mental Health Here's What You Need We are looking for an educated, Licensed Social Worker, Mental Health Support Worker, someone with experience recreational support, to direct provision of purposful activities and in the development of programs with our in clients home environment or community. Experience in working with older adults with dementia, adults with disabilities, including mental health and autism Works beyond normal business hours, weekends, holidays, and severe weather situations when necessary. Requires an active driver's license and auto insurance. Passing a Background check and Drug Testing is a requirement of employment. This is a per diem position that can become part-time or full-time based on your interest . We help you create a job that meets your needs.
