Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Part-Time Volunteer Coordinator to lead and inspire our volunteer community. In this role, you will be responsible for recruiting, training, and managing volunteers across various programs, ensuring a positive and engaging experience for all participants. Your leadership will foster community involvement, strengthen volunteer engagement initiatives, and support organizational goals through effective volunteer management strategies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while developing your skills in community engagement, project management, and team leadership. Responsibilities Develop and implement volunteer recruitment strategies, including campus recruitment initiatives and outreach to diverse communities. Coordinate volunteer onboarding, training sessions, and ongoing development programs to ensure volunteers are well-prepared and motivated. Manage volunteer databases using platforms such as Salesforce and Raiser's Edge to track engagement, hours, and program participation. Supervise volunteer activities, providing guidance, support, and recognition to foster a positive environment. Organize and oversee volunteer engagement programs that promote community involvement and organizational objectives. Facilitate effective communication with volunteers through written communication channels, ensuring clarity of expectations and updates. Collaborate with team members across departments to align volunteer efforts with organizational projects and events. Lead public speaking engagements to promote volunteer opportunities and community partnerships. Monitor program outcomes, prepare reports on volunteer activities, and recommend improvements for increased impact. Cultivate relationships with culturally diverse communities to enhance inclusivity and broaden volunteer participation. Requirements Proven experience in volunteer coordination or management, including supervising teams of volunteers or staff. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with database management systems such as Salesforce or Raiser's Edge. Demonstrated success in campus recruitment, community engagement, or volunteer recruitment initiatives. Experience in training & development programs tailored for volunteers or staff members. Exceptional public speaking skills with the ability to motivate diverse audiences. Knowledge of project management principles and team management best practices. Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse communities and maintain high levels of customer service. Leadership qualities combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation.
