Job Description
Job Summary Angel Hands Hospice and Palliative Care is seeking a compassionate, organized, and motivated Volunteer Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for recruiting, training, and managing volunteers who provide essential support to our patients, families, and staff. The ideal candidate is passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and thrives in a people-centered environment. Key Responsibilities Recruit, screen, and onboard new volunteers in accordance with hospice regulations and company standards Coordinate volunteer orientation and ongoing training programs Match volunteers with appropriate patient, family, or administrative needs Maintain accurate records of volunteer hours, activities, and compliance requirements Serve as the primary point of contact for all volunteer-related communication Provide ongoing support, guidance, and recognition to volunteers Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to identify volunteer needs Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and accreditation standards related to volunteer services Plan and implement volunteer appreciation events and initiatives Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in volunteer coordination, healthcare, hospice, or community outreach preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Excellent organizational and time management abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic database management Compassionate, empathetic, and service-oriented mindset Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off (PTO) Supportive and mission-driven work environment Opportunities for professional growth and development Why Join Angel Hands?
