Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance Vacation, Sick Leave, Float Days & Paid Holidays 403(b) Retirement Plan Life Insurance Long Term Disability Wellness Program Employee Assistant Program LifeFlight Membership Education Allowance Job Summary The Peer Support Specialist - Pathfinder provides outreach and recovery support to individuals experiencing homelessness who are suspected of having an opioid or other substance use disorder. Using lived recovery experience and peer support principles, this role helps participants access treatment, including Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), housing, and supportive services. Services are delivered in community settings such as emergency rooms, homeless encampments, and other outreach locations. Key Responsibilities Conduct outreach and engagement with individuals experiencing homelessness Use lived experience to build trust and support recovery goals Assist participants with enrollment in MAT and other treatment services Connect participants to housing, benefits, and community resources Provide recovery support in emergency departments and community settings Build partnerships with treatment providers and community organizations Maintain accurate documentation and reports Protect client confidentiality per federal, state, and agency requirements
Qualifications Required:
High School Diploma or GED Lived experience with mental health services or recovery from a substance use disorder (minimum 2 years) Ability to obtain Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration (with agency assistance) Ability to obtain Certified Peer Support Specialist credential within 6 months (with agency assistance) Valid driver's license and insurable driving record Ability to pass background check and drug screening Required vaccinations (MMR, Hep B, Tdap, current flu)
Preferred:

$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
