The Visitation Specialist is responsible for supervising and monitoring visits between children in foster care and their family members in treatment through the Family Recovery Court. They may also provide transportation for the children to and from family visits. The Visitation Specialist will observe and report interactions to Children's Welfare Services (CWS) workers according to CWS guidelines. Visitations occur at Pierce County Alliance.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must have experience in working with the Children's Welfare Services (CWS), possess knowledge of community resources for children and parents, have a basic understanding of family systems and child development, basic understanding of a team or multi-disciplinary approach, must have the ability to work with diverse groups and populations. Must have experience with

DCYF Requirements:

Must be 21 or older; High School Diploma or GED; valid driver's license; must meet policy criteria regarding driver's abstract; dependable vehicle and PLPD insurance. If offered employment you must pass criminal history record check through DSHS, the Washington State Patrol, and FBI background check as applicable; and must have no history of alcohol or other drug misuse for a period of three years immediately prior to the time of employment.
