Job Description
Family Closet Coordinator Position Summary The Family Closet Coordinator (25-30 hours/week) supports foster, kinship, and adoptive families by overseeing appointment scheduling, preparing resources, maintaining inventory, coordinating volunteers, and tracking impact data. This role ensures families experience a welcoming, organized, and mission-aligned environment while supporting efficient program operations. The position is based in our Waukesha location with occasional off-site events. Key Responsibilities Family Engagement & Appointments Manage Waukesha and Mobile Family Closet communications and appointment scheduling. Prepare orders and meet with families, providing in-person support as needed. Coordinate scheduling updates and related communications with staff. Collect and track family feedback and assist with reporting. Family Closet Operations Assess and coordinate inventory needs for upcoming appointments and outreach events. Stock, organize, and replenish Mobile Family Closet inventory. Communicate supply needs to support donor engagement and outreach efforts. Volunteer Coordination Support volunteer communication, scheduling, and training. Assist in developing and maintaining best practices for Mobile Closet operations. Help recruit and onboard new volunteers as needed. Data & Reporting Maintain accurate family and appointment data in Charity Tracker. Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly impact reports (families served, children served, items gifted, geographic reach). Collaboration Work closely with leadership to ensure alignment between the Waukesha Family Closet and Mobile Family Closet operations. Ministry Willingness to share testimony of the Christian faith with families. Willingness to pray with families as needs arise. Willingness to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus to families, volunteers, and donors. Qualifications High School diploma required. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to multi-task and work independently. Willingness to work onsite and attend Mobile Closet events as needed. Flexibility for occasional evenings or Saturdays.
