Full-Time Position Summary The Full-Time Counselor provides substance abuse and mental health counseling services to women and mothers in a residential treatment setting or co-ed residential setting. The counselor is responsible for delivering individual, group, and family counseling, developing treatment plans, and supporting clients through recovery using a trauma-informed and client-centered approach. Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Services Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions Complete comprehensive assessments and intake evaluations Develop and implement individualized treatment plans within required timeframes Conduct treatment plan reviews and updates Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation (progress notes, treatment plans, discharge summaries) Ensure compliance with ADMH and ADATC standards Case Management & Coordination Coordinate care with internal staff and external providers Provide referrals for additional services (medical, mental health, housing, etc.) Assist clients with discharge and continuing care planning Group Facilitation Facilitate psychoeducational and relapse prevention groups Provide life skills and parenting support groups as needed Client Support Support clients in crisis situations using appropriate interventions Maintain professional boundaries and therapeutic relationships Promote a safe, supportive, and recovery-focused environment
Qualifications Required:
Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field ADC (Alcohol & Drug Counselor) certification OR LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor)
