Freedom Detox is a licensed 6-bed detox facility located in Los Angeles. We provide a supportive, structured, and compassionate environment for clients beginning their recovery journey. Our multidisciplinary team values collaboration, ethical care, and evidence-based treatment.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and ethical Therapist to join our clinical team. This role involves providing therapeutic support for clients during detoxification, facilitating individual and group sessions, and ensuring documentation is completed in accordance with state and facility standards.
Responsibilities:
Facilitate 1:1 and group therapy sessions with clients in early recovery Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans Maintain clinical documentation within Kipu EMR Collaborate with clinical and medical staff for case coordination Provide emotional support, psychoeducation, and discharge preparation Attend staff meetings and participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning
Requirements:
Must be currently enrolled in a Master's program (Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field) and registered with the BBS (ASW, AMFT, APCC) OR hold a completed Master's degree with active BBS registration Experience or strong interest in substance use treatment and detox care Professionalism, reliability, and strong interpersonal skills Familiarity with EMR systems (Kipu preferred but not required) Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
