A Substance Abuse Counselor counsels people struggling with addictions to alcohol, drugs or other substances. Assists clients in dealing with personal and professional problems related to substance abuse. Collaborates with other health care and mental health care professionals to coordinate services for clients, and works with families of substance abusers. May work in a clinic, health care facility or community based program, or work with clients referred through the criminal justice system.

Onsite Duration:

Months Schedule :

Weekly services coordinated with center staff, generally Monday-Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. We are looking for Clinical support services at the Collbran Job Corps Center in Collbran, Colorado.

Core duties:

Student substance misuse assessments, counseling, prevention education, crisis support, referrals, documentation, and coordination with health and wellness staff.

Requirements:

Active unrestricted substance abuse license or certification valid in Colorado, required insurance coverage , and ability to pass background check/drug testing if required.

Pay:

$25.00 - $33.00 per hour
