What they do

A Substance Abuse Counselor counsels people struggling with addictions to alcohol, drugs or other substances. Assists clients in dealing with personal and professional problems related to substance abuse. Collaborates with other health care and mental health care professionals to coordinate services for clients, and works with families of substance abusers. May work in a clinic, health care facility or community based program, or work with clients referred through the criminal justice system.

Job Description

Recovery Services of Connecticut (RSCT) is a state licensed, substance abuse facility located on the Shoreline in Madison, CT offering partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programming services. We are seeking talented, enthusiastic, team players with experience in substance abuse treatment to join our team. (Mental health and dual diagnosis treatment experience is a plus.) Looking to fill a FT position for an PHP/IOP group facilitator position, will include a case load. Some evening hours are required. Supervision is provided. Strong writing and documentation skills are a must. Flexible schedule options available. Come join our team!
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters Degree, independently licensed or license eligible in Connecticut. Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC, CADC, LADC) Salary commensurate with license and experience. To be considered, please include your resume.
