A Substance Abuse Counselor counsels people struggling with addictions to alcohol, drugs or other substances. Assists clients in dealing with personal and professional problems related to substance abuse. Collaborates with other health care and mental health care professionals to coordinate services for clients, and works with families of substance abusers. May work in a clinic, health care facility or community based program, or work with clients referred through the criminal justice system.

Group Facilitatorand Evaluator Oasis Treatment Center Orange City, FL Job Details Part-time | Full-time $20 - $25 an hour 9 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Substance abuse treatment center experience Outpatient experience Substance abuse counseling Substance abuse Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders Bachelor of Arts Full Job Description Job Posting - Outpatient Substance Abuse Group Facilitator Outpatient substance abuse facilitator needed to conduct evaluations, outpatient groups, including electronic file documentation. Must be willing to learn electronic documentation of records. Also includes handling money, administering urinalysis and breathalyzer tests. BA Degree with 1-year experience in substance abuse treatment. Must be able to pass a level 1 background screening with Florida Department of Corrections, Level 2 background screening with the Department of Children and Families (ACHA Clearinghouse). No Drug related convictions unless given clearance by DCF. Locations include Orange City Group Sessions pay $25.00 per hour.
