The above will play a crucial role in providing high-quality mental health services to individuals, particularly those struggling with Substance Use Disorders, facing various challenges. This position requires a professional who is skilled in patient assessment, clinical counseling, and crisis intervention, with a strong understanding of behavioral health practices, also a strong understanding of regulations and new policies. Background in Substance Use Disorder preferred. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine mental health needs and develop appropriate treatment plans. Provide clinical counseling services to those struggling with (SUD), utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding for diagnosis and treatment documentation. Implement crisis intervention strategies to support clients in acute distress. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for clients. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in behavioral health. Skills Proficiency in patient assessment techniques and clinical counseling methodologies. Experience working with SUD and understanding their unique emotional and psychological needs. Strong knowledge of behavioral health principles and practices. Familiarity with medicaid/private insurance coding systems and fee schedules for diagnosis documentation. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards in all client interactions. Effective crisis intervention skills to manage acute situations calmly and effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, fostering strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
