Job Responsibilities:

Provide referrals, screenings, and assessments for: 1. Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD) 2. American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM); 3. Case Management; 4. Clinical Individual/Group Therapy 5. Gambling; 6. Level of Care; 7. Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT); 8. Mental Health; 9. Opioid Health Home (OHH); 10. Recovery, etc. 11. Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT); 12. State Opioid Response (SOR);

• Submit admissions, authorizations, ASAM, and treatment plans in the MH-WIN/Next Step System.
• Provides direct counseling, treatment plan development and supervision to a case load of consumers.
• Completes and maintains accurate records or reports regarding the client's histories and progress.
• Participate in case conferences/staff meetings
• Coordinate counseling efforts with mental health professionals or other health professionals, such as doctors, nurses or social workers.
• Review and evaluate clients' progress in relation to measureable goals described in treatment plans.
• Modify treatment plans when needed to comply with changes in client status.
• Plan or implement follow-up or aftercare programs for clients to be discharged from treatment programs.
• Intervene as an advocate for clients to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations.
• May perform other duties as assigned by Clinical Director or CEO.

Skills:

• Basic understanding of the disease of addiction and Recovery
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Good organizational skills and listening skills
• Able to resolve conflicts

Qualifications:

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Health and Human Services
• Must be certified through MCBAP
• At least one (1) year experience as a Counselor
• Ability to manage time and workload effectively
• Must be able to pass drug test
