Retention Bonus Position Overview:

The Primary counselor position is a valued role here at Anthony Louis Center / On-Belay House. As a Clinician you will be part of helping young people find themselves while teaching them the skills it takes to be sober. Clinical staff have flexible hours to develop therapeutic relationships with each client. Clinicians work in a team with Program Director and other clinical staff to develop holistic approaches to individualize each clients needs and have continued support from the staff team. Working together with community based members as well as clients families is vital to this position. The counselor provides services to support and aid the client in the recovery process and helps them re-acclimate into their home life and community. Primary Counselors will work at providing therapeutic education in lectures and encouraging a safe space for clients to process in group as well as during individual sessions.

Responsibilities:

Assessment of chemical use problems and intake processes and procedures Creation and monitoring of individualized treatment plans and bi-weekly treatment plan reviews containing client's goals, activities, and objectives of client care in a timely and professional manner. Facilitate psycho-educational lectures and therapeutic processing groups while maintaining own caseload Facilitate individual family sessions Provide Service coordination and Case management services for each client through accurate documentation of interventions and discharge's within the facility. Familiarity with 2960 and 245g. Provides crisis intervention based on proven and researched intervention approaches Maintain CPR and First Aid certifications (classes provided) Evaluate clients' mental health status based on review of client information, interviews, observation tests, assessments, and staffing with other clinical members to determine program compatibility.
