A Substance Abuse Counselor counsels people struggling with addictions to alcohol, drugs or other substances. Assists clients in dealing with personal and professional problems related to substance abuse. Collaborates with other health care and mental health care professionals to coordinate services for clients, and works with families of substance abusers. May work in a clinic, health care facility or community based program, or work with clients referred through the criminal justice system.

Our work environment includes:
Modern office setting Provide individual counseling services, assist with intake process, assessments and treatment planning. Experience in Methadone Maintenance Treatment is preferred. Applicants must hold or a current LADC license with BBHT. Work Hours Monday-Friday 5:30am-2:00pm. No weekends! Generous PTO! Summary In the role of LADC/ADC-T, you will be integral to providing compassionate patient care and conducting thorough assessments to support individuals struggling with addiction. Reporting to the lead counselor, you will utilize core skills in behavioral therapy and addiction counseling while also applying premium skills such as crisis intervention and motivational interviewing. Your relevant experience in medical documentation and patient intake will enhance the quality of care provided.
