Our team provides compassionate, evidence-based support through counseling, psychiatric care, and case management services. We are currently seeking a dedicated Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team and make a difference in the lives of those impacted by substance abuse use disorders. Position Summary The Substance Abuse Counselor will provide counseling, education and support services to clients seeking recovery. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, leading group and individual sessions and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to promote holistic well-being and relapse prevention. Key Responsibilities Conduct client assessments and develop individualized treatment plans. Facilitate individual, group and family counseling sessions. Educate clients and families on substance abuse, recovery and community resources Provide crisis intervention and referrals as needed Maintain accurate and confidential case documentation in compliance with HIPAA and federal guidelines. Collaborate with a team of healthcare and support professionals Support clients in relapse prevention and aftercare planning.
Qualifications Required:
QP eligible under NC standards State licensure or certification as a Substance abuse Counselor (CADC, LADC, LCAS or equivalent) 2 years of experience minimum in substance abuse counseling or related behavioral health services Strong communication, counseling and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
LCAS-A CADC
