A Substance Abuse Counselor counsels people struggling with addictions to alcohol, drugs or other substances. Assists clients in dealing with personal and professional problems related to substance abuse. Collaborates with other health care and mental health care professionals to coordinate services for clients, and works with families of substance abusers. May work in a clinic, health care facility or community based program, or work with clients referred through the criminal justice system.

Target:
Licensed and Certified Position Overview We are hiring Licensed and Certified Substance Abuse Counselors to provide evidence-based, trauma-informed treatment services in a gender specific substance use treatment/residential program. We provide services to pregnant and parenting and their children. The counselors are responsible for daily group and individual therapy.
Required Qualifications :
Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor Applicants must meet requirements to be considered: Masters Degree degree in Human Services or related field Licensed in Substance Use Counseling (LCAS, LCAS-A) Minimum one (1) year of experience providing substance use treatment services
