A Substance Abuse Counselor counsels people struggling with addictions to alcohol, drugs or other substances. Assists clients in dealing with personal and professional problems related to substance abuse. Collaborates with other health care and mental health care professionals to coordinate services for clients, and works with families of substance abusers. May work in a clinic, health care facility or community based program, or work with clients referred through the criminal justice system.

Job Description

Restorative Management, an outpatient Substance Use Disorder provider, is hiring a full time case carrying counselor in our Middletown NY office. Position provides psychosocial evaluations and completes all required paperwork within time frames. Case carrying counselors will run groups, individuals, family/significant other and necessary paperwork. Computer skills essential. Person should have experience in the field and MUST have either a CASAC-T, CASAC, LMSW, LCSW or LMHC. Shift is Mondays thru Thursdays from 10:00-6:00pm and Fridays 8-4pm. Salary is based on experience and degree.
