Provided office based substance abuse counseling to individual and families. Conduct through, accurate substance abuse assessments, documenting findings according to OMAS standards. Provides family education, skills, training, and individual, family and group counseling using goal-oriented treatment plans. Utilizes "active listening" techniques to help families de-escalate and work toward recovery. Provided advocacy work with school, court, and other social service agencies as needed. When appropriate, arranges for follow-up and ongoing case management after termination to ensure that referral to ongoing services occurs smoothly. Attends and participates in scheduled case consultation sessions Attends monthly staff meeting. Maintains up to date charting and case documentation Engage in cross functional collaboration with coworkers. Willingness to work, at least, one evening a week Assumes any other responsibilities as may be appropriate as directed by the program director. Must have an active Ohio license of one of the following:

LPC, LPCC, LPCC-S LSW, LISW, LISW-S CDCA, LCDCII, LCDCIII, LICDC, LICDC-CS

Knowledge in adolescent and family counseling preferred Effective written and verbal communication Effective crisis intervention skills.
