ACCELERATED HIRE

Duties Help The primary purpose of this position is: to provide preventive, remedial, and support services aimed improving and sustaining the psychological health of Nional Guard (NG) military members and their families. As part of the Joint Resiliency Directore through credentialing from the Office of the Ste Surgeon the incumbent of this position provides access to a full range of professional services and activities for the eligible populions served. Duties focus on outreach, educion and prevention, needs-based and psychosocial assessment, diagnosis, short-term problem resolution, and provision of or referral to evidenced-based interventions.
Responsibilities include providing:
primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention programs, specialty training for NG health care professionals and other personnel on issues reled to the psychological health of Guardsmen and their families, and multi-level community organizion, collaborion, and enhancement. Coordine with the Nional Guard community serving the military and non-military agencies to promote timely informion exchange, coordine collaborive prevention efforts, and establish and maintain an extensive array of resources, associions, and community partnerships. Participes in community activities to incorpore complex stregies th enhance community strengths, reduces broad-based community needs, implements community problem solving methods, and forges community connections to promote psychologically healthy lifestyles. Ensures th curriculums and community intervention initiives for each prevention program are research-based and supported by the literure. Participes in relevant committee meetings in an effort to provide input and obtain informion reled to psychological health issues. Coordines substantial findings and possible effects of outreach efforts with key leaders to ensure they remain current on issues reled to the program. Conducts needs assessments, intake evaluions, and psycho-diagnostic assessments. Applies professional knowledge of the principles, theories, procedures, and practices of social work to conduct needs assessments and/or intake evaluions on limited but routine basis in accordance with applicable DoD guidelines. Coordines referrals, assist with crisis interventions, and determines necessary resources for the Service Member and/or their families. Prepares written evaluion reports with clinical impressions and recommendions. Coordines, and implements prevention and community outreach and educion programs. Conducts comprehensive needs assessments and Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunity, and Thre (SWOT) analyses th form the basis for program development activities and action plans. Implements community organizion stregies with key organizions to increase awareness of psychological health. Develop coordined plans for reducing risk factors for individuals and within the community, and build and enhance a general culture th promotes psychological health and wellness. Coordine as key facilitor and team lead in the development and implemention of an annual, Unit-level psychological health stregic plan. Develops a formal evaluion process to monitor prevention and outreach programs and access to resources. Designs and manages special programs, services, and informion and awareness presentions, such as newspaper articles brochures describing ways to enhance psychological health, and nional and local awareness theme events (e.g., Suicide Prevention month and Nional Depression Screening Day). Ensure proper accountability and stistics regarding number of cases, referrals, etc. Collabore with working groups focused on prevention efforts. Develop, teach, and provide oversight for classes th promote educion and skill-building to enhance psychological and physical health. Evalue training opportunities, and professional development activities. Provides timely, effective, and accure training to mental health providers and other medical personnel on psychological health mters, resources, and interventions. Briefs senior leadership and other key personnel and committees on prevention issues in an effort to obtain optimum support for and participion in all outreach and prevention activities. Recruits, trains, and facilites volunteers when necessary to support the Nional Guard DPH and the Joint Resiliency Directore. Participion in direct deposit is mandory. A Master's in Social Work from an institution accredited by the Council on Social Work Educion is required. Substitute degrees will not be accepted. Additional licensure as an LADC is preferred.
Selective Placement Factor:
Possess a current, unrestricted Ste license to practice clinical social work independently. Must have 24 months of experience in clinical social work assignments. This position is not open to those who are under supervision. The incumbent of this position description must have, a minimum, a completed Nional Agency Check (NAC) prior to position assignment. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. This position is designed as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparion for, or in response to, a ste emergency or disaster declarion. This designion will not exceed 14 calendar days per year unless otherwise approved in advance by the TAG. Upon accepting this position, the employee may be required to serve up to a two-year probionary period. This position will require working some weekends. Qualificions
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
: Must possess least 1-year equivalent to least GS-11 experience th equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and th is typically in or reled to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupion in the organizion. Currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Psychologist in the ste of Oklahoma Also Currently a Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor in the ste of Oklahoma. (This is preferred) Educion Must possess a Master's Degree in Psychology or Mental Health Counseling by an accredited University You must provide transcripts or other documention to support your Educional claims.
