Overview Herkey Horizons LLC is a growing outpatient substance use disorder treatment provider in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, providing ASAM Level 2.1 Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Level 1.0 Outpatient (OP) services. We are seeking a full-time Drug & Alcohol Counselor to join our clinical team as we expand our outpatient services. The counselor will maintain an assigned caseload, facilitate individual and group counseling, develop individualized treatment plans, complete required clinical documentation, and work collaboratively with the Clinical Supervisor and other members of the treatment team. We are looking for someone who can contribute not only as a counselor, but as a dependable member of the team as we continue developing our services and clinical programming. Responsibilities Maintain an assigned caseload of clients receiving substance use disorder treatment. Facilitate individual and group counseling for clients participating in ASAM Level 2.1 IOP and Level 1.0 outpatient services. Develop, implement, document, and review individualized treatment plans. Complete clinical assessments and ongoing evaluation of client needs and progress. Utilize evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), relapse-prevention strategies, and trauma-informed care. Complete timely and accurate progress notes and other required clinical documentation. Maintain client records in the organization's Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Participate in case consultation, clinical supervision, treatment-team meetings, and staff development. Coordinate referrals and continuity of care with community providers and other appropriate resources. Identify and respond appropriately to behavioral-health emergencies and crisis situations. Part 2, DDAP requirements, and organizational policies. Participate in daytime, evening, and/or weekend programming based on program and client needs. Minimum Qualifications Candidates must meet the qualifications for a Counselor under 28 Pa. Code Chapter 704/DDAP requirements through an applicable combination of education, clinical experience, and/or professional certification. A bachelor's degree or higher in counseling, psychology, social work, chemical dependency, or a related human-services field is preferred; candidates meeting DDAP Counselor qualifications through another permitted education, experience, or certification pathway will also be considered. 2+ years of relevant clinical experience preferred, with direct substance use disorder treatment experience strongly preferred. Experience providing group and individual counseling. Ability to independently manage a clinical caseload and required documentation. Knowledge of substance use disorders, treatment planning, and evidence-based counseling practices. Strong written documentation, communication, organization, and time-management skills. Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of substance use disorder treatment experience. Previous experience in an ASAM Level 2.1 IOP or outpatient substance use disorder program. Experience using AZZLY Rize/EHR and/or EASE ; experience with comparable behavioral-health EHR systems will also be considered. Experience with ASAM criteria and clinical documentation requirements. CADC, CAADC, LPC, LCSW, or other applicable behavioral-health/addiction credential. Experience working within Pennsylvania DDAP-licensed treatment programs. Schedule & Compensation Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week. Herkey Horizons is developing programming to meet client needs across daytime, evening, and weekend hours, so some schedule flexibility is required.
