A Substance Abuse Counselor counsels people struggling with addictions to alcohol, drugs or other substances. Assists clients in dealing with personal and professional problems related to substance abuse. Collaborates with other health care and mental health care professionals to coordinate services for clients, and works with families of substance abusers. May work in a clinic, health care facility or community based program, or work with clients referred through the criminal justice system.

Relaxed atmosphere Flexible working hours Impact Lives Health Services is looking for Licensed Substance Use Counselors that work well independently with a flexible schedule. Counselors who are willing to work with youth, adults, and special populations are encouraged to apply. This job is a hybrid position and requires some onsite and offsite hours. Substance Use Counselors will be responsible for the following: Perform diagnostic evaluations, treatments plans, and documentation. Complete individual and group sessions in OP, IOP, and/or PHP settings. Complete referrals or any other process as it relates to the continuum of care/ needs of each individual client. You must be licensed in the state of Maryland to qualify for this position. One of the following licensures are required:
LCADC, LGADC, CAC-AD, CSC-AD, or ADT Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time Pay:
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour
