Sticks Diagnostics & Healthcare Training Center is seeking an experienced, qualified Substance Abuse Evaluator/Addiction Counselor to provide comprehensive drug and alcohol evaluations for clients, including individuals referred or ordered for evaluation by the court. This is a PRN/contract position with appointments scheduled based on client demand.

Responsibilities include:

Conduct comprehensive drug and alcohol/substance-use evaluations Complete appropriate screening and assessment tools Review relevant substance-use, medical, behavioral, and social history Determine appropriate recommendations and referrals Develop treatment recommendations/care plans when indicated Prepare professional written evaluation reports suitable for submission to attorneys, courts, or other authorized parties Maintain accurate and confidential documentation Coordinate with Sticks regarding drug and alcohol testing when testing is indicated Maintain HIPAA compliance and professional documentation standards Assist with development of substance abuse education programs and client resources For qualified

DOT SAPs:

conduct DOT initial and follow-up SAP evaluations Determine individualized education/treatment recommendations in accordance with 49 CFR Part 40 Complete required FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse SAP reporting Develop follow-up testing plans as required by DOT regulations Maintain compliance with DOT SAP documentation and continuing-education requirements

Qualifications:

Candidates should hold a current Georgia credential/license appropriate for performing substance-use assessments and evaluations, such as CAC/CADC, LPC, LCSW, or another applicable behavioral-health/addiction credential .

Preferred Qualifications:

Current CAC or other qualifying substance abuse counseling credential Experience conducting substance use assessments/evaluations Knowledge of substance abuse, addiction, treatment, education, and referral resources Strong written documentation and professional communication skills Experience working with court, probation, employer, or DOT-referred clients preferred DOT SAP qualification strongly preferred Candidates who are not currently DOT SAP qualified must be eligible and willing to complete DOT SAP qualification training and pass the required examination Familiarity with the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse is a plus
